On this edition of The Hunt, we meet back up with Caldwell Banker’s Valerie Fitzgerald. Valerie’s client, Monique Friedman is looking to move into a Mediterranean-style home that’s close to LA’s shopping districts and nightlife. Monique admits that she and her husband have slightly different budgets, but she goes into her search with an open mind.

The first place that Valerie has in mind for Monique is a brand new estate that offers plenty of access to the outside (a plus for Monique) and plenty of space to entertain – from the big open kitchen to the screening room that’s cleverly tucked behind a revolving bookcase. The outdoor cabana offers a potentially meditative spot and definitely fits the Mediterranean vibe Monique is looking for.

The next listing, with French doors that lead every room to a terrace, and an amber-infused kitchen that is made from wood instead of the usual marble, definitely gives the first home some competition.
