You’ve heard of having to sing for your supper, but at Candy Camp kids have to cook for their dessert. Every first Saturday of the month, Jehangir Mehta, founder of Candy Camp, hosts the event at Sapa restaurant. Mehta, once the pastry chef at AIX believes it’s important to teach kids the art of cooking while aiming to expand their range of tastes. Wendy Fentress joins a class to see what it’s all about. Kids from ages 4-14 are welcome at these classes where they can get their hands dirty making a chocolate molten cake. But the best part of cooking is eating! At Candy Camp kids can lick the spoon, their hands and the inside of the bowl, until there isn’t a speck of chocolate to be found.
